Thank you to all our friends and relatives!

Thanks for the great gifts Jensens, Wignalls, Jurges, Amanda and Steven, Brandon and Karinne!

Day 4

We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday! Sorry I didn't take time to post. Lindsay had Thanksgiving rolls thanks to Malynda, but that was about the only traditional food she got. She had a great day full of much progress. She enjoyed the many visitors that stopped by. She ate a lot more solid food. She went for a walk with the physical therapist, and even ask to go further than planned. Although the physical therapist could only come once yesterday in the morning, in the evening Lindsay asked to sit up again. Once she got sitting up, she decided she wanted to go for another walk. We were happy that we could help her without the aid of nurses or PTs. She is still in a lot of pain and hooked to more tubes and gadgets than you can imagine, but things are certainly improving. We are very grateful this Thanksgiving Day for all of our blessings--Lindsay's improvement, friends and family, medical wonders and knowledge, caring PCMC doctors, nurses, and staff; God's love and blessings; and many more I can't mention!

Day 3

Lindsay has made a lot of progress today. The physical therapist got her up twice--once she sat in a chair for twenty minutes, and the next time she walked about 15 feet and then sat in the chair again. She is drinking and starting to eat solid food. She had several visitors today, including a wonderful visit from Amanda and Steven. Sister power worked its magic and made Lindsay very happy! Lindsay wants to thank everyone for their thoughts, love, concern, and prayers in her behalf. They have not gone unnoticed.

Day 2

Lindsay is having a pretty good day today. Valium is definitely her friend! This afternoon, the physical therapist made her sit up at the edge of her bed. It was very painful, but afterwards she felt some relief and said it made her feel stronger. She also progressed from ice chips to water and sprite. Good job girl!

Day 2

Lindsay had a pretty good night. She was able to sleep most of the time, except when the nurses came in and woke her up (which was at least every 1 1/2 to 2 hours). She wakes up in pain, but we're trying to get that better under control. She appreciates all the prayers and well wishes from friends and family. She is looking forward to graduating from ice chips to clear liquids today. She is definitely tired of feeling lousy. She has great doctors and nurses here!
